Aaron Karlson
3D Artist | Animator
Aaron Karlson joined the Digital Worlds Institute in the spring of 2016 and has worked on a range of projects that include video editing, motion graphics, and character animation. As a 3D technical artist, he utilizes modeling, texturing, rigging, lighting and rendering in the creation of animated productions.
Aaron has experience working in all facets of the animation production pipeline, from concept development through lead character animation for productions with the Florida Museum of Natural History, Collaboratory for Women Inventors, and many more.
Aaron received his BFA in Animation from The Savannah College of Art and Design with a concentration in 3D modeling and character animation. He has continued to build upon his traditional art background through independent and collaborative projects in illustration, graphic design, 2D animation, and game design.
Aaron received an MFA in Interactive Design and Game Development with a focus in Game Art and Level Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design, researching historical accuracy project methodologies in game art production.
